I'm Lori, the designer, author, and teacher behind Aklori Designs!

I'm a Tunisian crocheter who has a passion for fun textures and interesting designs.

I believe that crocheting should be enjoyable and relaxing. Patterns should be easy to follow and when you're finished you should have something you want to wear over and over. You deserve a wardrobe full of garments and accessories that fit you and your life.

I first became interested in Tunisian crochet when I came across a sample at my local yarn store. I was fascinated by the textures and began absorbing all the information I could find. I felt that tunisian crochet had much untapped potential that needed exploring.

In 2017, I started creating my own designs. Since then I've created over 100 indie designs, have designs featured in multiple magazines (Moorit, Happily Hooked, WeCrochet, Crochet Now), and my first book, Exploring Tunisian Crochet, was published in 2023.

People are not one size fits all so your projects shouldn't be either! Most accessory patterns come with easy to understand instructions to adjust the finished size to your liking.
