Tunisian Crochet Joins
There are several ways to join fabric without sewing. Entrelac joins create a distinct look by creating an intentional gap at the join location. It is also possible to create a seamless look at the join location.
Entrelac Join
Side Join: Insert your hook from front to back behind the two vertical bars of the stitch are connecting to, yarn over and pull up a loop.

Top Join: To create a join on the top of the stitch you are connecting to, insert your hook from front to back under the two horizontal bars, yarn over and pull up a loop.

Seamless Edge Joins (SE Join)
To create a seamless edge join, insert hook from front to back between the edge stitch vertical bars and behind the back bump (on wrong side of fabric) of the stitch you are connecting to, yarn over and pull up a loop. Image below shows the hook location on the wrong side of the fabric.
